Players To Buy For Week 10 Fantasy Football: DK Metcalf Is A Prime Buy-Low

Players To Buy For Week 10 Fantasy Football: DK Metcalf Is A Prime Buy-Low

Cooterdoodle breaks down the players and teams that she's BUYING ahead of Week 10 of the fantasy football season.

We all survived the NFL trade deadline!! (Kind of? Sorry, Breece Hall.) But now, it's time to channel our inner 7-2 record. Because while the NFL losers were selling their key players, the winners were buying, baby!!

So in true WINNERS fashion, we will only be buying today.

In a world full of trade offers, be a Colt.

So let's get into some Buyin', Buyin', and… Buyin'!!

Players To Buy Ahead Of Week 10 Fantasy Football

Defenses facing the NO Saints

If it wasn't for Washington's abysmal first half against the Seahawks on SNF in Week 9, we'd still be talking about the beatdown the Saints took from the Rams.

But alas, we've moved on. And now the headlines are focused on the departure of the 87-yard TD king, Rashid Shaheed (AKA: New Orleans' living, breathing highlight reel).

This is a huge blow to New Orleans' offense, which found a majority of its success through its big-play maker (Read: Just launch it and he will go get it). He may not have been NO's WR1 on paper, but he was the WR1 of our hearts.

But what this really means is that the Saints are leaning into their 1-8 season. They are in rebuild mode, boys. And things could (and probably will) get much worse now that they've lost Shaheed.

So, by the time this article publishes, I'll already have secured the Panthers defense, which faces NO in Week 10. And after that … I'm gunning for ATL.

And after that, MIA …

You get the idea.

Offenses facing the NY Jets

If you've been living under a rock, the Jets traded away Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams before the deadline.

Not only has the Jets defense been allowing the eighth-most passing TDs and the seventh-most rushing yards per game to RBs before the trades went through (!!), but they are now down a strong cornerback and defensive tackle. Oof.

The 1-7 Jets face

Things could get really ugly. Really fast.

But hey, there's always draft day to look forward to!!

*Wait one more week

DK Metcalf's four-week TD streak ended in Week 7 and he's been up and down ever since.

  • Week 6: 4-95-1 (WR9)
  • Week 7: 3-50-0 (WR42)
  • Week 8: 5-55-1 (WR12)
  • Week 9: 2-6-0 (WR82)

But the good news is that his targets have relatively stayed the same despite his boxscore fluctuations and frustratingly unpredictable fantasy production. And in Week 9, his worst fantasy outing all season, he was still targeted TWICE inside the five-yard line.

DK has shown that he can still be a top-10 fantasy WR. We just need to see it more consistently … And for what it's worth, DK is Fantasy Life's consensus WR22 in our Rest-of-Season Rankings, above guys like Courtland Sutton, Chris Olave and Marvin Harrison Jr

But Metcalf faces a toughasf*ck Chargers defense in Week 10, allowing the second-fewest FPPG to WRs. So, I'd wait to buy after Week 10 concludes.

ATL_falcons-logo.svgBijan Robinson, RB, ATL

"Down weeks", my ass.

I understand it can be frustrating to watch Robinson put up less than 15 points two weeks in a row when he was throwing up 25-30-point games earlier in the season. And I understand that Bijan could have another "down" week against a tough Colts defense in Week 10.

But this justttt miiight be your last shot at "buying low" on Bijan.

SURE. He's still Bijan MF'in Robinson. His "low" isn't the same as … say … Jacory Croskey-Merritt

I get that.

But this might be the best opportunity we'll get. So if you want him, GO GET HIM. Plus, Bijan has a string of fun defensive matchups coming in Weeks 11-15.

  • Week 11: CAR
    • Seventh-most targets per game to RBs
  • Week 12: NO
    • Sixth-most yards per game to RBs
    • Ninth-most rushing TDs per game to RBs
    • 23 FPPG to RBs
  • Week 13: NYJ (see above)
  • Week 15: TB
    • fourth-most rec per game to RBs
    • 23.5 FPPG to RBs

Hopefully the Bijan manager has a losing record and is willing to part ways for the right price. Or, maybe they'll be stubborn and take him down with their sinking ship, just like the Jets did with Breece Hall ...

LA_rams-logo.svgBlake Corum, RB, LAR

This backfield has been wishy-washy in terms of RB usage. Is it the Kyren Williams show? Is Blake Corum stealing touches? Are the Rams leaning towards a two-headed backfield?

Since Week 7:

  • Blake Corum has seen a bump in his usage, with double-digit rushing attempts.
  • He's garnered 40% of the Rams rushing attempts
  • And he is steadily inching towards RB30 territory.

While none of this is "electric" or "exciting", Corum is showing promise as a valuable RB stash moving into your fantasy trade deadlines.

ARI_cardinals-logo.svgTrey McBride, TE, ARI

(Yes. You're going to have to pay up for him. Winners buy winners.)

Though Jacoby Brissett's career has spanned across six different teams (NE, IND, MIA, CLE, WAS, NEx2, ARI) since 2016, he's aging backwards. Not only has he played better than his 5-foot-10-inch predecessor so far this season, but he's found a way to make Trey McBride a TD machine (yayyy!).

Trey McBride Weeks 1-5 (with Kyler Murray)

  • 29 receptions
  • 275 yards
  • 1 TD

Trey McBride Weeks 6-9 (with Jacoby Brissett)

  • 23 receptions
  • 201 yards
  • 4 TD

McBride, as a fantasy asset, has relied heavily on his targets for fantasy production these last few seasons. But in Brissett's first three starts, McBride has already scored more TDs (four) than he's ever scored in a single season prior to 2025 (yayyy!).

If this production continues, McBride enters into mega-TE1 territory. And it should continue, because it was announced on Tuesday that Jacoby isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Yayyy!

McBride is exactly the kind of TE I want on my fantasy team as I head into the playoffs …
