Week 14 Late-Week Streamers: Adonai Mitchell, Chris Rodriguez and More
Jonathan Fuller shares his top picks for late-week streaming options entering Week 14 of the NFL season, including Adonai Mitchell and Chris Rodriguez.
The final week of the fantasy football regular season is here. For a lot of teams, it all comes down to this week in a win-or-go-home matchup. I certainly have a few of those spots this week, and if you're reading this article, I'm guessing you do too.
Unfortunately, we still have the last round of byes this week, with a bunch of fantasy-relevant players unavailable. Hopefully you are missing fewer players than your opponent, but regardless of whether you are the favorite or the underdog, we are here to help give you the best possible chance to win this week.
As always, once you've finished this article, be sure to check out all the tools and advice Fantasy Life has to offer across waivers, start/sit projections, and rankings to help you finish the season strong.
Adonai Mitchell, WR, Jets - 19% rostered
The Jets are a dumpster fire, but Adonai Mitchell may turn out to be a diamond in the rough that wins fantasy championships down the stretch.
Everything is breaking right for the ex-Colt with minimal target competition and a somewhat more competent passing game now that Tyrod Taylor is leading the offense. Mitchell's role in the offense has grown each week, and he most recently posted an elite 97 UR Score in Week 13.Â

In Fantasy Life's Week 14 projection, Mitchell sits at WR26, putting him right on the WR2/WR3 borderline and a solid starting option if you need to stream a WR to help get you into the playoffs this week.
In my own portfolio of teams, Mitchell was my most-added player this week, and I will be starting him in several spots. Garrett Wilson is eligible to return from IR next week, but there is a chance his absence could be longer, and the Jets could choose to shut him down for the year with their season effectively over. For as long as Wilson is out, Mitchell should project as a startable fantasy asset. The Jets also have a decent schedule with the Dolphins, Jaguars, Saints, and Patriots still on the docket. None of those pass defenses are particularly strong.Â
I'm very confident in Mitchell's ability to get open and draw targets; he just has to catch the ball. Admittedly, he does struggle with that last part at times, but I will always prefer a player who is going to get a high volume of targets over one who isn't.Â
Chris Rodriguez Jr., RB, Commanders - 32% rostered
As much as I wanted Jacory Croskey-Merritt to be a thing, all signs point to Chris Rodriguez leading the Washington backfield for the rest of the season. He has led their backfield in rush attempts in each of Washington's last four games, and he has had at least one carry inside the five-yard line in all of those games as well.
The Commanders' offense has been functional with Marcus Mariota under center, but there is a chance that Jayden Daniels could return in Week 14, which would be a big boost to the entire offense, including Rodriguez.Â
I wrote about Chris Rodriguez last week, and now we have another week of evidence that his role as the lead back has solidified, which makes him an even higher confidence recommendation for Week 14. He doesn't have the easiest matchup against the Vikings' defense, but the good news is that Minnesota's offense is playing poorly enough that the game should stay close, allowing Washington to run the ball.Â
He may not have elite fantasy value because he lacks a role in the passing game, but if you need someone to give you a decent floor as your RB2, then Rodriguez is my favorite option who is available in the majority of fantasy leagues.
Blake Corum, RB, Rams - 30% rostered
The Rams are one of the best offenses to have pieces of for fantasy football because of how concentrated they generally are. That has been great for Kyren Williams because he has had a monopoly on all the high-value touches. This dynamic has changed a bit in recent weeks, with Blake Corum handling at least seven rush attempts in each of the Rams' last six games and double-digit carries in three of them.Â
With Kyren Williams still banged up, I expect Corum to continue handling a meaningful role in the backfield. If you are in need of a desperation spot start, then Corum is a name worth considering because the Rams have a good matchup against the Cardinals, where they should be able to lean on the run game, giving Corum a reasonable shot at scoring a TD. He also offers massive contingent upside if Kyren is forced to miss time down the stretch. This makes him a priority pick-up for me heading into Week 14.
Pat Bryant, WR, Broncos - 2% rostered
Since Week 9, Pat Bryant has had a larger role in the Denver offense, running more than 60% of the routes in all four of Denver's games. Week 13 was the first time he surpassed Troy Franklin in route share and target share, and although that isn't guaranteed to be the case again next week, it does signal a shift in Bryant's usage that strongly suggests he has earned a meaningful role for the rest of the season.
Week 14 brings a great matchup for the Broncos' offense as they travel to Las Vegas to take on a poor Raiders defense. There is some risk that Denver won't have to throw the ball much to win, but they should be able to score plenty of points in this one, which gives him solid TD potential if they do choose to attack through the air.
I don't think Bryant is as strong of an option as Adonai Mitchell for Week 14, but if he continues to ascend in this Denver offense, he could be the better player to roster for the rest of the season.Â
