Week 15 Waiver Wire Pickups For Fantasy Football: Shedeur Sanders, Jaylen Wright and More
Kendall Valenzuela breaks down the top priorities at each position on the Week 15 fantasy football waiver wire.
I hope you're reading this after all of your fantasy football dreams came true after last week! It was a big weekend of fantasy football decisions, with many needing one win to be in the fantasy football playoffs. Of course, it wasn't all rainbows and butterflies across some of the NFL games. Daniel Jones went down and was immediately ruled out with an Achilles injury. If anyone was streaming Tyrod Taylor, he was also knocked out of his matchup with a groin injury. Overall, we had some highs that we can celebrate, but some of these injuries are very much going to affect our rankings and overall outlook on a handful of offenses.
But now we say, WELCOME TO THE FANTASY PLAYOFFS (for most). My best piece of advice: you made it this far, trust your gut. Don't make drastic changes on a whim. Below you'll find the recommended Week 15 waiver wire pickups. All roster percentages are from Yahoo, and, as always, I try to focus on highlighting players less than 40% rostered. Also, don't forget our Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Tool, which will have even more targets on a weekly basis.
Injuries To Monitor For The Week 15 Waiver Wire
- Daniel Jones (Achilles)
- Jayden Daniels (elbow)
- Geno Smith (shoulder)
- Tyrod Taylor (groin)
- De'Von Achane (ribs)
- David Njoku (knee)
- Keaton Mitchell (knee)
- Zach Ertz (knee)
Quarterback Pickups On The Week 15 Waiver Wire - Should You Add Shedeur Sanders?
Shedeur Sanders, QB, Browns (8% rostered)
Yes, I understand Shedeur Sanders faced the Titans defense in Week 14, but the outing still needs to be highlighted, especially with all the quarterback injuries we saw. Sanders completed 23 passes for 364 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. He was also the team's leading rusher, carrying the ball three times for 29 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Not too shabby! The Browns face the Bears, Steelers and Bengals through the fantasy playoffs.
Aaron Rodgers, QB, Steelers (24% rostered)
Listen, with all the quarterback injuries from Sunday, we have to get a little creative here. Aaron Rodgers is coming off a 284-yard passing day with one touchdown. Did we also see him run a touchdown into the endzone?! It's not pretty, but if you're looking for a streamer, Rodgers against the Dolphins might be someone you turn to. Yes, they shut down the Jets, but that was without Tyrod Taylor. They recently gave up 17.36 fantasy points to Tyler Shough and 15.42 to Marcus Mariota. This is the Monday night game, so maybe protect your mental health and schedule a nice dinner during the game so you don't have to wonder what led you to start Rodgers in the first week of the fantasy playoffs.
Marcus Mariota, QB, Commanders (8% rostered)
It was an awful day for the Commanders. Aside from getting beaten down by the Vikings, they also lost Jayden Daniels after he re-aggravated the elbow injury that kept him out for the last four games. If Marcus Mariota gets the start for Week 15, at least we know he gives fantasy managers upside in the rushing department, and the Commanders will be taking on the Giants. Mariota has given fantasy managers solid floors when starting for Washington these last few weeks.
Running Back Pickups On The Week 15 Waiver Wire — Jaylen Wright Is A Must-Add
Jaylen Wright, RB, Dolphins (3% rostered)
Dolphins running back De'Von Achane did not return against the Jets due to a rib injury. When Mike McDaniel was asked about Achane's availability, he said Achane was available to return in an emergency and also said "he'll be in there if he's ready" when asked about Week 15. No matter what, now is the time (especially if you're an Achane manager) to pick up Jaylen Wright. He took over once Achane exited and finished with 24 carries for 107 yards and a touchdown. Ollie Gordon is also an option, but only in deeper formats if you miss out on Wright. He finished with five carries for 17 yards and one touchdown.
Blake Corum, RB, Rams (33% rostered)
This was an absolute beatdown by the Rams against the Cardinals, but let's highlight Blake Corum here anyway! I thought he would be more rostered up to this point. He locked down 12 carries for 128 yards and two touchdowns—all good for 26.1 fantasy points. Over the past two weeks, he has locked down 19 carries for 209 yards and three touchdowns with 11 yards per carry! Is it time to get him more involved?
Devin Singletary, RB, Giants (24% rostered)
We'll have to get updates on Tyrone Tracy, who left the Giants' Week 13 matchup with a hip injury. Tracy told Dan Duggan of The Athletic before their bye that he was fine, but just to be safe, adding Devin Singletary is not a bad idea. He finished with 102 scrimmage yards and a touchdown before the bye and while it might not be ideal to start him if Tracy returns, he still holds value if Tracy gets banged up down the stretch. The Giants face the Commanders, Vikings and Raiders during the fantasy playoffs.
Rasheen Ali, RB, Ravens (1% rostered)
This is a move for managers in deeper formats, but with Keaton Mitchell getting banged up on Sunday with a knee injury, Rasheen Ali is now the next man up behind Derrick Henry. He really does not hold much value besides a pure handcuff and wouldn't be startable unless Henry went down with an injury. If you're a Henry manager, make sure Ali is on your bench just in case.
Wide Receivers To Add On The Week 15 Waiver Wire — Pick Up Ryan Flournoy
Ryan Flournoy, WR, Cowboys (1% rostered)
CeeDee Lamb left Thursday's loss against the Lions due to a concussion and while there is a chance he could play in Week 15 due to the mini bye, we always want to be a step ahead. George Pickens wasn't the beneficiary of Lamb's absence; it was actually Ryan Flournoy who finished the day with nine receptions for 115 yards and one touchdown, which was all good for 26.5 fantasy points. We can't expect that if Lamb is out, but with the lack of effort from Pickens, we might see Flournoy step up again when the Cowboys face the Vikings.
Tight End Pickups On The Week 15 Waiver Wire
Harold Fannin Jr., TE, Browns (39% rostered)
This is cheating a little because Harold Fannin Jr. is really close to 40% rostered, but his rapport with Shedeur Sanders lands him on the waiver wire list for another week. Fannin has been a top target for Shedeur, and on Sunday, he led the team with eight receptions for 114 yards and one touchdown. No, they don't play the Titans every week, but the usage for Fannin is difficult to ignore. He has averaged 15 fantasy points per game since Sanders became the Browns starter.
The Other Guys: More Fantasy Football Adds On The Week 15 Waiver Wire
