Week 17 Waiver Wire: Tyler Shough, Raheim Sanders and The Best Championship Week Adds
WE MADE IT!!! Now it's time top make sure every "i" is dotted and "t" is crossed. It's the Championship Week waiver wire!
Happy Fantasy Football Championship Week to all who celebrate (or to everyone who didn't face Puka Nacua)! We're going to keep this short and sweet, because if you've gotten this far you're probably going to be dancing with the players who got you here. If you had an untimely injury, though, do not worry... I am here to help! (Also, feel free to call in ALL WEEK LONG to our SiriusXM show, 10am-Noon ET, with every single one of your questions. It's what we're here for!)
All rostership percentages are from Yahoo and, as always, I try to focus on highlighting players less than 40% rostered. Also, don't forget our Waiver Wire Tool, which will have even more targets on a weekly basis. And one last note: if some weird stuff happens in the next few days, we edit and update this column, so it'll be fresh!
Week 16 Injuries
- Jordan Love (concussion)/Malik WIllis (shoulder)
- J.J. McCarthy (hand)
- Gardner Minshew (knee)
- Kimani Vidal (neck)
- Quinshon Judkins (leg)
- Jordan Mason (ankle)
- Ryan Flournoy (knee)
Week 17 Waiver Wire Adds
Dylan Sampson (11% rostered) / Raheim Sanders (0% rostered), RBs, Browns
Unfortunately we saw Quinshon Judkins suffer a fractured fibula and dislocated ankle in Sunday's game against the Bills. Dylan Sampson has missed the past two games due to hand and calf injuries, but if he's available for Week 17 he should get the bulk of the carries. If he's unavailable we saw Raheim Sanders finish with 11 carries for 42 yards along with one catch for four yards (keep in mind Jerome Ford went on IR a little under two weeks ago). You should be considering these two running backs only in deep formats.

And if you want to go Super Duper Deep, I'll save you a click: Trayveon Williams is the probable next next next man up and the only other RB on the practice squad is Ahmani Marshall.
Tyjae Spears, RB, Titans (25% rostered)
YES we are absolutely talking about a Titans player heading into championship week, because we like to live a little! Tyjae Spears had 13 carries for 53 yards and also found the end zone. But he didn't stop there, Spears also caught five passes for 53 yards, which gave him a season-high 21.5 fantasy points. This was Spears' first touchdown since Week 8 and maybe he can keep the good times rolling against the Saints.
Tyler Shough, QB, Saints (13% rostered)
Anyone who has been streaming Tyler Shough over the past four weeks should feel good about the returns. On Sunday, Shough completed 32 of 39 pass attempts for 308 yards and a touchdown and also ran twice for eight yards all for 17.12 fantasy points. In the last four games Shough has not gone under 17 fantasy points and now he faces the Titans defense in the finals.
And if you need another reason, 50 Cent is on board!
Blake Corum, RB, Rams (40% rostered)
Can I get a GO HAWKS?! Anyway, Blake Corum has been highlighted here for weeks and if you're in a shallow league he's still someone who should be rostered — even if it's just to block your opponent. Over the last three games, Corum has 37 carries for 247 yards and four touchdowns.
Parker Washington, WR, Jaguars (23% rostered)
The headlines this week were on Jakobi Meyers' contract extension, but Parker Washington took over the conversation on Sunday with a big outing against the Broncos. The Jaguars take on the Colts in Week 17 and he could be a potential streamer.
Chris Rodriguez, RB, Commanders (29% rostered)
Chris Rodriguez missed Week 15 but somewhat came through in Week 16 against a tough Eagles defense, scoring 13.9 fantasy points. He had 15 carries for 63 yards and a touchdown while also locking down one reception for six yards. Marcus Mariota got banged up so the team might rely more on their running backs in a lost season. Oh and they play the Cowboys in Week 17 — think of it as an early present!
Good luck everyone!! And Happy Holidays!! I'll update if anything pertinent pops up this week.
