Chiefs @ Broncos Week 14 Game Preview

Chiefs @ Broncos Week 14 Game Preview

This looks like a lopsided matchup between the Super Bowl Contender Chiefs and the Broncos, who have been one of the worst offenses in NFL history.

Chiefs at Broncos (+9.5) – 43 total

This AFC West showdown looked like appointment viewing before the season started. Heading into Week 14, it now looks like a lopsided matchup that could be over by halftime. The Chiefs are legitimate Super Bowl contenders while the Broncos have been one the worst offenses in NFL history, let alone this season.

Denver does have one of the best defenses in the league so they will hope to limit the Chiefs and keep this one competitive. With that said, Patrick MahomesTravis KelceIsiah Pacheco, and JuJu Smith-Schuster should all be in your lineup per Fantasy Life consensus rankings. There is also a chance that Kadarius Toney could be back this week. He shouldn’t be in your lineup, but he would immediately slot in as the WR3 with Mecole Hardman on IR and give Mahomes another explosive weapon to work with.

On the Broncos side, Courtland Sutton is expected to miss this game, which could provide more opportunities for Greg Dulcich and Jerry Jeudy. The backfield should continue to be led by Latavius Murray, who is a solid RB2 against a below-average KC run defense. However, the most electric part of this offense each week is the Russell Wilson touchdown vs bathroom race that has turned out to be much closer than expected.

Divisional matchups often spring surprises on us, but it’s hard to imagine many scenarios where the Broncos pull off the upset, even at home. I expect a no-nonsense performance from the Chiefs as they start to shift their focus towards playoff seeding and preparing for the postseason.
