Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Deep Dive. Week 10

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Deep Dive. Week 10

The Waiver Wire is crucial to fantasy football success, so we've created the Waiver Wire Hub to help you dominate your league.

I'll be using Yahoo's "percentage rostered" data. Players are listed in order of priority, by position. Most of the players listed are available in at least 75% percent of leagues.

Terrace Marshall Jr.

  • Available in 94% of leagues

Sophomore WR Terrace Marshall Jr. is doing his best to put his abysmal rookie season behind him. Marshall followed up his 4/87 performance last week by posting a 3/53/1 line on Sunday. More impressively, he tied fellow WR DJ Moore with six targets which led the Panthers.

Marshall now has three straight games with at least 43 snaps (PFF) and has an enticing matchup against the Falcons next week. He offers an ideal blend of short-term production with rest-of-season upside.

Michael Gallup

  • Available in 61% of leagues

It’s been a rocky season for WR Michael Gallup, but it looks like things are starting to fall into place. After missing the first three weeks of the season due to injury and then playing three games with backup QB Cooper Rush, Gallup has finally played with QB Dak Prescott the last two weeks.

Gallup is averaging 47 snaps per game (PFF) over his last three games and is passing the eye test on the field. Prescott looked much better in his second game back from injury (Week 8), and the entire Dallas offense finally looks potent again. With his bye week behind him, Gallup should be a primary waiver addition this week.

FAAB: 15%

Kadarius Toney

  • Available in 45% of leagues

The much-anticipated debut of WR Kadarius Toney in a Chiefs uniform ultimately disappointed, but it was good to see him healthy and active. He played just nine snaps (PFF) but did draw a pair of targets. QB Patrick Mahomes attempted a whopping 68 passes on Sunday night which was an outlier performance, but the opportunity for Toney to earn more targets in the coming weeks is very real. He’s a must-add in almost all formats for his late-season, league-winning upside potential.

Additional Waiver Targets

Donovan Peoples-Jones

  • Available in 79% of leagues

Through eight games, WR Donovan Peoples-Jones is well on his way to shattering current career-high marks in targets, receptions, and receiving yards. We know how athletic he is, but the production (and TDs) haven’t quite come around yet.

However, despite being the WR2 on a run-first offense, Peoples-Jones has 70+ receiving yards in four of his last five games and 50+ receiving yards in five straight. He’s also averaging more than 62 snaps (PFF) per game. The return of QB Deshaun Watson could elevate both the ceiling of Peoples-Jones and the entire Browns offense.

Rachaad White

  • Available in 66% of leagues

Over the last three weeks, RB Leonard Fournette has totaled 26 carries, 13 targets, and 10 receptions. By comparison, rookie RB Rachaad White has 18 carries, eight targets, and six receptions in that span. That split is much closer now than it was at the beginning of the season.

QB Tom Brady continues to lead a pass-heavy attack, and involvement in the receiving game is exactly what makes White intriguing. White is an elite handcuff at best and a deep league flex option at worst. He’s a must-roster for any Fournette manager.

FAAB: 10%

Greg Dulcich

  • Available in 66% of leagues

Rookie TE Greg Dulcich has quickly become a household name and needs to be on your roster. In just three games, he’s established himself as a premier weapon for the Broncos. He’s seen his snap count (PFF) increase each consecutive week (41, 47, 49) and has either 50 receiving yards or a TD in each game. As an added bonus, he’s also coming off his bye week.

FAAB: 10%

Samori Toure

  • Available in 100% of leagues

Seventh-round rookie WR Samori Toure has seen his role increase over the last two weeks as injuries continue to plague the Packers. WRs Randall CobbRomeo Doubs, and Christian Watson have all dealt with ailments in recent weeks and all three are potential candidates to miss Week 10. Toure has four targets in consecutive games and could see an expanded role in the coming weeks.

FAAB: 7%

Darius Slayton

  • Available in 95% of leagues

Rookie WR Wan’Dale Robinson has gotten all the hype in recent weeks but it’s been veteran WR Darius Slayton who has quietly put together an impressive month. Slayton has at least six targets and 11 fantasy points in three of four games and has topped 44 snaps in three straight (PFF). The Giants are coming off their bye week so the offense should be well rested.

FAAB: 7%

Zay Jones

  • Available in 76% of leagues

The WR2 role behind Christian Kirk fluctuates each week, but veteran WR Zay Jones appears to have the edge over his teammates. He’s averaging 6.8 targets per game and has topped 58 snaps (PFF) in all but one game this season. As QB Trevor Lawrence continues to improve, opportunities will be there for Jones.

FAAB: 7%

Cade Otton

  • Available in 89% of leagues

Rookie TE Cade Otton scored his first career TD this week and it ultimately ended up being the game-winner for QB Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. Otton has steadily progressed this season and has taken advantage of veteran TE Cameron Brate missing time due to injury.

Otton is averaging five targets per game over the last six games and 56 snaps per game (PFF) on the season. With Brady averaging 44 passing attempts per game, the opportunities should continue to be there.

FAAB: 5%

Marvin Jones Jr.

  • Available in 94% of leagues

32-year old WR Marvin Jones Jr. is the cheaper version of fellow WR Zay Jones. While teammate Christian Kirk has the No. 1 role locked down, M. Jones is averaging 5.8 targets per game on the year and has six games with at least six targets.

However, he isn’t seeing the same number of snaps as his teammates. M. Jones hasn’t topped 40 snaps (PFF) since Week 5 and is the clear No. 3 option for this offense.

FAAB: 3%

Van Jefferson

  • Available in 90% of leagues

My excitement surrounding the return of WR Van Jefferson took a hit last week as he failed to earn a target. However, he was on the field for 31 snaps (PFF), which accounted for just over half of the offensive snaps.

In Week 9, he tallied five targets but failed to haul in any of them. It’s not ideal, but it’s encouraging to see him earning looks. The Rams offense has been dysfunctional outside of WR Cooper Kupp, so there’s hope that someone, anyone will step up soon.

FAAB: 3%

Kyren Williams

  • Available in 58% of leagues

Rookie RB Kyren Williams has yet to see the field but he’s close to making his NFL debut. The Rams backfield is a mess with RBs Darrell HendersonCam Akers, and Malcolm Brown all earning carries this week. Williams offers intriguing upside as a pass-catcher but he’s smaller (5’9” / 194lbs) and slower (4.64 40-time). He’s nothing more than an upside stash at this point.

Kenneth Gainwell

Kenneth Gainwell

  • Available in 86% of leagues

The clear RB2 behind incumbent RB Miles Sanders appears to be sophomore Kenneth Gainwell. The latter scored his third TD of the season on Thursday night and is firmly ahead of fellow RB Boston Scott in the pecking order.

At this stage, Gainwell doesn’t offer much aside from being a valuable handcuff. His pass-catching prowess affords him fringe usage in deep formats but he should otherwise be left on your bench.

FAAB: 3%

Travis Homer

  • Available in 99% of leagues

In just his second game back from injury, RB Travis Homer has established himself as the RB2 behind rookie Kenneth Walker. Walker will not cede many touches to anyone else so Homer has little value on his own. However, Homer does have at least 20 receiving yards in consecutive games. That pass-catching upside is exactly what you want on the end of your bench, especially if you roster Walker.

QB Streamers for Week 10

Taylor Heinicke

  • Available in 89% of leagues

I’ll keep going back to the well as long as it’s working. QB Taylor Heinicke has quickly become the ideal streaming option at the position. His production-to-cost ratio has been excellent. He’s averaging more than 22 points per game over the last three weeks and is still available in almost 90% of leagues. With four teams on bye next week, Heinicke is a solid option.

FAAB: 3%

Davis Mills

  • Available in 93% of leagues

This is nothing more than a desperation option in deep or two-QB formats. QB Davis Mills is widely available and will rarely be in a position where he finds himself leading late in the game. The projected negative game scripts provide some passing upside, but you should look elsewhere if you can.

Defense Streamer for Week 10

New York Giants

  • Available in 94% of leagues

The New York Giants will be well-rested coming off their Week 9 bye. They’ll square off against a Houston Texans team that is averaging just 16 points per game and has just one win this season. For their part, the Giants are 6-2 and have tallied 16 sacks and forced seven turnovers.
