Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Deep Dive. Week 12.

The Waiver Wire is crucial to fantasy football success, so we've created the Waiver Wire Hub to help you dominate your league.

I'll be using Yahoo's "percentage rostered" data. Players are listed in order of priority, by position. Most of the players listed are available in at least 75% percent of leagues.

Treylon Burks

  • Available in 81% of leagues

Dwain McFarland recommended picking up rookie WRs Treylon Burks and Christian Watson over a week ago. Hopefully, you listened.

While Watson saw his ownership skyrocket last week, Burks remains widely available. He returned from a four-game absence in Week 10 to post a modest production line but erupted this week with a 7/111 outing on eight targets. His 30% target share and 33% receiving yard share in Week 11 highlight his ability to dominate touches, even on a run-first team.

Burks has the profile and upside to be a league-winner and is a must-add in all formats.

Parris Campbell

  • Available in 60% of leagues

The case for WR Parris Campbell was made last week by Dwain McFarland:

“Over the three-game span (with QB Matt Ryan), Campbell has 29 targets (25%), 24 receptions, 203 yards, and three receiving TDs – leading to 20.8 fantasy points per game. With Nyheim Hines gone, the slot WR (78%) is the lead underneath option (5.2 aDOT) for the Colts' offense and is seeing career-high route participation at 89% for the season.”

Campbell continued that trend in Week 11 by posting a respectable 5/67 line on six targets. In his last four games with Ryan, he’s averaging nine targets, seven receptions, and 67 receiving yards per game.

Darius Slayton

  • Available in 49% of leagues

Rookie WR Wan’Dale Robinson suffered a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the season. This means more could be asked of fellow WR Darius Slayton who continued his recent run of success. Slayton has either 65 receiving yards or a TD in five of his last six games. He also saw 66 snaps (PFF) in Week 11 which signaled a 20% increase from his previous season-high.

The Giants face the Cowboys and their stout defense on Thanksgiving. Heading into Week 11, Dallas ranked inside the top 10 against QB, RBs, and TEs but were down at 20th against opposing WRs.

Additional Waiver Targets

Latavius Murray

  • Available in 77% of leagues

RB Melvin Gordon was released by the Broncos on Monday. Fellow RB Chase Edmonds suffered a high-ankle sprain and will likely miss a few weeks.

That just leaves RBs Latavius Murray and Marlon Mack on the roster, for now.

It’s rare to recommend a 32-year-old RB, but here we are.

Murray was already the most effective option in that backfield. Over the last five games, he had out-carried Gordon 63-38 and scored three TDs to Gordon’s one.

Heading into Week 11, the Broncos were 32nd in points scored (PFR). That doesn’t bode well for positive game scripts and run-heavy approaches. Still, they’re league-average (16th) in rushing attempts per game (26). As long as they’re willing to establish it, Murray has value.

FAAB: 25%

Skyy Moore

  • Available in 94% of leagues

It took over half the season but we’re finally starting to see some production from rookie WR Skyy Moore. On a night where WRs Mecole Hardman (IR) and JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) did not play and Kadarius Toney (hamstring) left early, Moore posted a season-high 5/63 on six targets.

Hardman will miss at least three more games and it remains to be seen if Toney will miss additional time. Regardless, Moore looked like the player fantasy managers have been waiting for. Smith-Schuster has served as the WR1 this season but additional opportunities could be ahead for Moore.

FAAB: 20%

Jerick McKinnon

  • Available in 74% of leagues

The rise of rookie RB Isiah Pacheco hasn’t come at the expense of veteran RB Jerick McKinnon. The latter has become a crucial component of the passing attack for QB Patrick Mahomes this season. He has tallied 34 targets on the year, with 17 of them coming in the last three weeks. McKinnon also out-snapped his backfield mates by a healthy margin on Sunday night.

The loss of WR Mecole Hardman for four weeks (IR) could signal even more work coming McKinnon’s way. Any piece of this offense has the potential for fantasy upside.

FAAB: 15%

Trey McBride

  • Available in 85% of leagues

The loss of TE Zach Ertz for the season (knee) has opened the door for rookie TE Trey McBride to make his mark over the second-half of the year. In Week 10, the second-round pick registered a 76% route participation. We’ll see if that translates into targets but McBride is a worthy flier on an offense that is averaging 23 points per game.

FAAB: 10%

Kyren Williams

  • Available in 72% of leagues

Rookie RB Kyren Williams appeared in just his second game this week and posted an efficient 36 yards on seven carries. He finished behind RB Cam Akers in carries (14) but ahead of RB Darrell Henderson (2). It is worth noting how Williams’ snap share, especially on third and fourth-down, compared to his teammates.

Williams, known for his receiving chops, has just five targets through two games. However, a road tilt against the Chiefs next week could force the Rams to utilize their rookie RB even more.

FAAB: 10%

Demarcus Robinson

  • Available in 96% of leagues

It appears that WR Demarcus Robinson has taken up the mantle of WR1 for the Ravens following the loss of WR Rashod Bateman (foot) for the season back in Week 8.

Since Week 8, Robinson is averaging seven targets, five receptions, and 68 receiving yards per game. He has also topped a 19% target share in three consecutive games.

TE Mark Andrews, who returned from a one-game absence, serves as the defacto No. 1 option in the passing game but Robinson is seeing enough usage to warrant consideration in your lineups.

FAAB: 10%

Zay Jones

  • Available in 80% of leagues

Veteran WR Zay Jones has been a common waiver target for us this season and that isn’t changing as he comes off his bye week.

Fellow WR Christian Kirk is the primary option in the passing game but he’s actually averaging the same number of receptions per game as Jones (5.2). Jones has played in one less game than Kirk.

The biggest difference in their production, as shown by our Advanced Stats tool, is in receiving yards and TDs. Kirk and Jones are both averaging 61 snaps per game (PFF).

Jags WRs

QB Trevor Lawrence ranks inside the top-10 among QBs in passing attempts, passing yards, and air yards. Jones is an ideal waiver add, especially in PPR formats.

FAAB: 10%

Juwan Johnson

  • Available in 70% of leagues

It’s time we start taking TE Juwan Johnson seriously. He has 40+ receiving yards and a TD in three straight games and five TDs over his last five games. He’s averaging more than 56 snaps per game on the season (PFF) and has become an integral part of the Saints passing attack over the last month. If you need a bye week or streaming option, look no further.

FAAB: 7%

David Bell

  • Available in 99% of leagues

Rookie WR David Bell has had an uninspiring season, but things could be starting to change. Bell entered the league with Day 2 draft capital and a sterling college production profile. His poor combine likely had a negative impact on his draft capital, but his college tape is solid.

Rookie wideouts tend to get better over the second half of the season, and we’re seeing that trend emerge with Bell. Over his last three games, he’s posted target shares of 10%, 15%, and 13% after not topping 9% in any game previously. It’s not much, but it’s a starting point.

Plus, the return of QB Deshaun Watson (Week 13 at the earliest) could elevate this entire offense, making Bell an excellent, cheap stash.

FAAB: 5%

Randall Cobb

  • Available in 96% of leagues

If the Green Bay Packers have any hope of turning around their season, QB Aaron Rodgers is going to need all the help he can get.

Long-time teammate WR Randall Cobb might be able to help. The veteran returned from a stint on IR to haul in all six targets for 73 yards. The rapport and trust between Rodgers and Cobb was evident on Thursday night. Though Cobb is averaging just south of 30 snaps per game (PFF), his usage out of the slot (84% of snaps), should provide him enough opportunity to warrant consideration in deeper leagues.

FAAB: 5%

Samaje Perine

  • Available in 93% of leagues

Starting RB Joe Mixon suffered a concussion in Week 11 and did not return. In his stead, backup RB Samaje Perine logged a season-high 15 touches and scored three times through the air. Perine came into the game averaging just four touches per game but figures to take over the backfield should Mixon not be ready for next week.

QB Streamers for Week 12

Taylor Heinicke

  • Available in 86% of leagues

Admittedly, it’s been a tough couple of weeks for QB Taylor Heinicke. But do you know the perfect team to play for a “get right” game?

The Atlanta Falcons. Heading into Week 11, courtesy of our NFL DvP tool, the Falcons, ranked 25th against QBs, RBs, and TEs and 32nd against WRs. Heinicke is in a prime spot to bounce back next week.

FAAB: 3%

Kenny Pickett

  • Available in 89% of leagues

Don’t look now, but rookie QB Kenny Pickett has back-to-back games with 20+ fantasy points. Last week he scored on the ground, and this week he scored through the air. He’s surrounded by talent in both the rushing and receiving game and offers enough with his legs to add fantasy intrigue. Next week, he squares off with a Colts team that is giving up about 20 points per game.

Defense Streamer for Week 12

Miami Dolphins

  • Available in 78% of leagues

The Miami Dolphins enjoyed their bye this week, so they will be well-rested heading into their matchup against the Houston Texans. The one-win Texans are averaging less than 16 points/game. Conversely, the Miami defense has racked up 20 sacks and eight turnovers this season.
