Texans at Dolphins (-14) – 47 point total
One of the most lopsided matchups of the week features the explosive Miami offense facing off against the hapless Texans defense. Prior to their bye last week, the Dolphins had scored 30+ points in three straight weeks while the Texans enter on a five game losing streak.
This should be a fantasy bonanza for the Dolphins with Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, and Jaylen Waddle all elite starters this week. However, the name that I am most interested in is Jeff Wilson Jr. who may get a workhorse role with Raheem Mostert (knee) questionable for this contest. If Mostert misses, Wilson is in an absolute smash spot against the Texans’ league-worst run defense.
On the Texans side, the move to bench Davis Mills for Kyle Allen does little to inspire confidence in a better performance this week. Dameon Pierce is still a solid startable RB but I am trying to avoid every other piece of this offense, including Brandin Cooks, if possible.
There is a chance this ends up being a trap game for the Dolphins and the Texans offense proves feisty with a new QB, but it is very difficult to imagine Houston pulling off the upset here. More likely, we will find out just how much Mike McDaniel is willing to run up the score.
