Week 14 Fantasy Football Rankings And Tiers. Zack Moss Set To Smash.

Dwain McFarland breaks down the Week 14 fantasy football positional rankings with player analysis, team totals and spreads for every game on the slate.

It is time to make those tough lineup decisions for Week 14 of the fantasy football season.

Below, you’ll find positional rankings, player analysis, team totals and spreads for every game on the slate.

Notes:

  • Players are now tiered across all positions (RB, WR and TE) to help with flex decisions in larger formats. Because of this, TEs might not have a player deserving of Tier 1 compared to RBs and WRs.
  • Defensive yards and TDs allowed exclude overtime play.
  • All references to defensive ranks are for this week (bye Week teams excluded).

Reminder: I have leveled my tiers across RB, WR and TE to help with flex lineup decisions. So, getting to Tier 1 is hard — often, Tier 2 is where you will find my highest-ranked TE.

Tier 4 – Taysom Hill

At the risk of sounding like a broken record on Hill, I will keep things brief here — but I have to write about him because he continues to rank far too low across the industry. Last weekend, he accumulated 17 opportunities with 13 rushing attempts — three from inside the five-yard line — two targets and two dropbacks. Since taking over a more significant role in Week 6, the do-it-all weapon averages 11.4 opportunities and 14.3 fantasy points per game.

This weekend, the Saints are five-point favorites over a Panthers team that allows the most rushing TDs per game (1.7) and the eighth-most yards (125). The Saints shouldn’t need to throw much to win, and they will either have a less-than-100% Derek Carr under center or turnover machine Jameis Winston

Hill didn’t practice on Wednesday due to foot and left-hand injuries, so we must monitor his practice status to close out the week. If healthy, There is a significant chance we will see season-high utilization numbers for Hill in Week 14. He doesn’t have a high probability of gaining a yardage bonus on DraftKings, but at $5,400, he is the cheapest of the top TE options.

Hill is an absolute SMASH play and ranks 20 spots ahead of industry consensus as my No. 58 player, and you could argue I am still too low.

Tier 4 – Kyle Pitts

Pitts notched his highest route participation since Week 2 with a 90% outing in Week 13, and in two of the last three games he surpassed a 25% target share.

Kyle Pitts

While predicting utilization with Arthur Smith is a fool’s errand, we can at least say Pitts has shown some life in recent weeks. This doesn’t suddenly make Pitts a high-end TE1, but his historical comps have finished as the TE11, averaging 10 points per game — higher than his current rank of TE17 with 7.9 points per contest.

The 23-year-old ranks No. 1 in the NFL with 2.29 air yards per route run out of all TEs with at least 250 routes. Pitts resides in a challenging run-first offense with suspect QB play, but he still has the skillset to come through with a big game — especially if the increase in routes persists.

The Buccaneers have given up receiving yardage by the truckload, ranking as the third-worst unit, allowing 278 per game. Considering all the factors, Pitts is a very enticing play at $3,700 on DraftKings in Week 14.

Pitts ranks 12 spots ahead of industry consensus as my No. 91 player overall and my TE13.
