Week 4 DraftKings NFL DFS Picks: Josh Allen, Daniel Jones Stacks and More

Week 4 DraftKings NFL DFS Picks: Josh Allen, Daniel Jones Stacks and More

Geoff Ulrich presents the top plays on DraftKings NFL DFS for Week 4, including stacks featuring Daniel Jones and Josh Allen, as well as other great options.

We’re now into Week 4 of the NFL season, which means it's time to switch your focus to daily fantasy lineup building and taking a shot at some of those huge prize pools available every week in the DFS streets.

Today’s goal?

I’ll be breaking down my favorite plays and stacks here every week while also highlighting a few GPP-only and higher-variance plays that I think offer great 5x blowup potential—at low ownership.

These plays and salaries will be specific to DraftKings and their salary cap contests.

However, since we’re also relying on the FantasyLife+ projections, tools and advice, the specific game matchups and correlations—aka game stacks—are things you can apply to lineup building across the DFS industry.

Let’s dive in. Week 4!!

Week 4 DraftKings NFL DFS Picks for GPPs and the Fantasy Football Millionaire

There figures to be some very concentrated ownership on a few players, with players like Omarion Hampton and Puka Nacua soaking up a lot of attention. However, overall, I expect this slate to have decent spread in ownership across a lot of games, as there is no singular game with a huge point total sticking out.

Expect Rams-Colts, Raiders-Bears and Chiefs-Ravens to be the most popular targets.

DraftKings Week 4 Stacks

  1. Shootout in LA: Danny Dimes Triple Stack

Jones may be forced to drop back 35+ times in this game. Los Angeles has been tough on opposing RBs this season, allowing zero rushing or receiving TDs to the position to date, and they’re coming off a dominant performance vs. Saquon Barkley, holding him to just 2.55 YPC in Week 3.

If Jones does drop back over expectation, there should be ample opportunity for him to take off with his legs. To date, LA has allowed QBs to rush for 30+ yards against them twice, and even with his early-season success as a passer, Jones has still gone for 25+ rush yards in two of his three starts—and comes in averaging 5.66 carries per game. This could easily be a spot where he ends up hitting his ceiling as a rusher and gives us the kind of fantasy boost needed to return 4-5x value from the QB position.

Another reason to like targeting this Colts passing game is the likelihood of a condensed target share this week. Alec Pierce has been ruled out for the game, which should give Pittman a boost in usage. Pittman’s off to a strong start this season, having posted 70+ yards and a TD in two of his first three games, and at 6-foot-4 is going to have a minimum of a four-inch height advantage over whichever of Cobie Durant, Emmanuel Forbes or Darious Williams ends up guarding him.

Stacking Jones with Tyler Warren will likely be a popular move as well, but the Rams have been stingy in coverage vs. TEs (17th fewest allowed). If Pierce misses, one or both of Downs and Mitchell—who should start on the outside for Pierce if he’s out—would likely benefit from increased usage and present as great pivot options for stacking at bargain prices.

  1. Bills win: Allen/Coleman (and Kamara) go berserk

The big spread in this Bills game should help keep Allen’s ownership somewhat suppressed, as fears of an early exit (blowout) or run-heavy game plan from Buffalo will likely frighten people away.

Those outcomes are both possible, but the chances of the Saints keeping this game within two scores for most of the day and forcing Allen to drop back more than expected are just as likely, if not more so. Teams coming off blowout losses often have a great chance of covering the spread the following week, and if that happens, it should mean we see a big game from Kamara.

Kamara got bottled up vs. the Seahawks' elite run stoppers last week, but even in the blowout loss, he saw 18 carries and has touched the ball an average of 23 times over the Saints' last two games. This week against the Bills, who will be without starting DL Ed Oliver and LB Matt Milano, and are allowing a league-worst 6.2 yards per carry, he’s in a great spot to produce and marks for an excellent contrarian RB for GPPs.

There is admittedly no clear-cut No. 1 receiver to pair with Allen, which makes him tricky to use most weeks in DFS, but if I’m playing for a closer, higher-scoring game, there is little doubt that the best upside is with Coleman. The Saints have struggled against No. 1 receivers this season (1.3 TDs to opposing WRs, per game), and Coleman, despite coming off two slow starts in a row, is still the Bills' best outside receiver and downfield threat.

Using him at 5600, with Allen, should give you some great leverage off of naked Allen lineups or potentially more popular Allen/Dalton Kincaid stacks.

🌑 Week 4 DFS Moonshots:

Tyquan Thornton (4000)

I feel like there is a great chance that we all look back after Week 4 and just say, “Hey, why didn’t we just all keep playing that Tyquan Thornton guy?” Thornton is averaging 19.0 yards per reception on the season and has a team-high 23% target share over the last two weeks. Even with Xavier Worthy expected to be back, I expect he’ll stay involved in a great matchup vs. the Ravens.

Cole Kmet (3000)

Rookie Colston Loveland (hip) looks highly questionable to play this week, which would likely push Kmet into a near every-down role. While he didn’t do much in that same role last season, the Raiders are allowing 13.44 yards per catch to the TE position this year.

Elic Ayomanor (3900)

The Titans have shifted play-calling duties this week on offense from Brian Callahan to QB coach Bo Hardegree, and it’s expected that this may mean a little more efficiency from the passing game. Ayomanor has a sneaky 21% target share through three weeks and faces a Houston defense that has struggled at containing big plays at times this season.
