Fantasy Football ADP Risers And Fallers: Matthew Stafford, Joe Mixon, And More
Matthew Freedman scans across different fantasy football providers to find players who are significantly rising or falling in ADP during early drafts.
We've recently updated lots of features and tools on our site, including the excellent Fantasy Life ADP Draft Board.
On it, you can track average draft position (ADP)—as well as week-over-week ADP changes—for almost any fantasy game platform you can think of, including Guillotine Leagues (my new favorite form of season-long fantasy).
Now that we're consistently seeing preseason games and have firmly moved into fantasy draft SZN, I am providing regular reports on notable ADP risers and fallers with some quick notes and whether I'm buying, selling, or holding the players at the new prices.
To access our ADP Draft Board and all our tools (such as my 2025 fantasy draft rankings and season-long player projections), use the promo code "FREEDMAN" for a 20% discount on the FantasyLife+ package.
ADP Risers and Fallers for Fantasy Football 2025
Risers
ESPN
WR Keenan Allen (Chargers - ADP: 157.7, +17.1): The 12-year veteran is returning home. He saw 121 targets with the Bears last year, so he's probably still good enough to be an annoyance to second-year WR Ladd McConkey. Action: Buy
WR Josh Downs (Colts - ADP: 153.3, +10.3): As I noted in my recent 14-team ESPN mock draft—check out our Draft Champion mock draft simulator, by the way—Downs is going way too late on ESPN. I think this is just normal market adjustment as he moves more in line with his ADP across the market. Action: Buy
Sleeper
RB Tahj Brooks (Bengals - ADP: 229.2, +12.6): The team released No. 2 RB Zack Moss last week, so now Brooks—a sixth-round rookie—has a shot to be starter Chase Brown's handcuff. Action: Hold
WR Luke McCaffrey (Commanders - ADP: 310.1, +14.0): No. 1 WR Terry McLaurin has requested a trade and is in the midst of a contract-driven holdout. If he were dealt, that would theoretically create more opportunities for McCaffrey—but I doubt the team will trade McLaurin. Action: Sell
Yahoo
RB J.K. Dobbins (Broncos - ADP: 117.1, +4.9): Dobbins was at the top of the team's first unofficial depth chart, and Broncos Insider Benjamin Allbright thinks that second-round rookie R.J. Harvey (his main competition ) is being overdrafted. Action: Buy
CBS
WR Ricky Pearsall (49ers - ADP: 129.5, +10.5): Pearsall opened training camp on the active/PUP list, but he was activated this past list while No. 1 WR Brandon Aiyuk (knee) remains on PUP and No. 2 Jauan Jennings is dealing with a lingering calf injury. In his four starts last year, Pearsall had 22-321-3 receiving on 28 targets with 3-45-0 rushing. Action: Buy
RB Nick Chubb (Texans - ADP: 121.0, +9.7): No. 1 RB Joe Mixon (foot/ankle) is dealing with injuries, so Chubb could see an expanded workload … but, you know, "guys age." Action: Sell
Underdog
RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt (Commanders - ADP: 182.6, +21.9): Throughout training camp, coaches and reporters alike have hyped up the seventh-round rookie, who had 1,262 yards and 18 TDs in his last full college season—and starter Brian Robinson is in the final year of his contract. Action: Buy
RB Jaydon Blue (Cowboys - ADP: 144.1, +9.8): He's just a fifth-round rookie, but he's fast (4.38-second 40-yard dash), young (21 years old), and productive (1,098 yards, 14 TDs in 2024). He has started getting first-team reps—but he also suffered an ankle injury on Thursday. Fortunately, it seems minor. Action: Hold
Guillotine LeaguesTM
RB Jerome Ford (Browns - ADP: 144.8, +8.8): Second-round rookie Quinshon Judkins is still unsigned and mired in legal issues. As the severity of his situation crystalizes, the outlook for everyone else in the Browns backfield improves. Action: Buy
FFPC
RB Woody Marks (Texans - ADP: 189.2, +27.1): Like Nick Chubb, Marks is getting pushed up boards because of the injury issues for No. 1 RB Joe Mixon (foot/ankle). Unlike Chubb, the fourth-round rookie still has the juice of youth in his legs. Action: Buy
QB Spencer Rattler (Saints - ADP: 317.1, +17.8): I do not think Rattler is a good player. Last year he had a 5.1 AY/A and went 0-6 as a starter. Even so, he's the No. 1 QB right now for the Saints. Whoever wins the Week 1 job seems unlikely to keep it. Action: Sell
Fallers
ESPN
WR Jauan Jennings (49ers - ADP: 121.3, -5.4): Jennings sat out the team's June minicamp with a calf injury … and then he reinjured the calf in training camp last week—and the 49ers "don't have a timetable" on his return. Action: Sell
WR Khalil Shakir (Bills - ADP: 118.9, -6.7): Shakir suffered a high-ankle sprain last week, which explains his downward move, but HC Sean McDermott said that he's on pace to return for Week 1. Action: Hold
Sleeper
QB Matthew Stafford (Rams - ADP: 177.4, -14.9): In my most recent training camp roundup, I had this to say about Stafford: "He's already dealing with back soreness. In other words, he's in midseason form." Stafford is dealing with an "aggravated disc," which isn't nothing, and concern over the injury has caused his draft stock to drop—but the guy plays through pain all the time, the team doesn't seem worried about Stafford, and he's tentatively expected to return to practice on Monday. Action: Buy
QB Tyler Shough (Saints - ADP: 245.2, -7.7): Despite entering the league with second-round draft capital, Shough is losing a QB competition and most often playing with the third-stringers in practice. He's not the shoo-in Week 1 starter we expected him to be when the team selected him in April. Action: Sell
Yahoo
RB Joe Mixon (Texans - ADP: 56.7, -10.8): Mixon (foot/ankle) has been out of training camp for a couple weeks—and he's uncertain for Week 1. At 29 years old, Mixon is an increasingly risky pick. Action: Sell
WR Rashee Rice (Chiefs - ADP: 57.6, -6.5): Rice (groin) is dealing with an injury, and he seems likely to receive a multiple-game suspension (perhaps as many as six games) because of off-field conduct. That said, his injury seems minor—and on the field he has looked like his team's No. 1 WR. Action: Buy
CBS
WR Tre Harris (Chargers - ADP: 170.0, -28.0): WIth the recent return of veteran WR Keenan Allen, the second-round rookie is likely to lose playing time and now finds himself in a fight to play in three-wide sets. Action: Hold
RB Quinshon Judkins (Browns - ADP: 86.3, -12.3): The second-round rookie was arrested earlier in the summer for misdemeanor domestic battery. He's still not with the team, which seems desirous not to sign him until his legal issues are settled—but his case might not get resolved until 2026. He's talented, but I imagine he will continue to get cheaper. Action: Sell
Underdog
TE Mike Gesicki (Bengals - ADP: 184.8, -12.4): Former first-rounder Noah Fant signed with the Bengals last week. With 400+ yards receiving every year of his career and an average of 7.9 yards per target, Fant will likely steal some work from Gesicki. Action: Sell
TE Isaiah Likely (Ravens - ADP: 162.2, -8.7): The upside No. 2 TE suffered a foot fracture at the end of July, and he has since undergone surgery. I'm skeptical he'll be ready for Week 1, and his injury could linger into the season. Action: Sell
Guillotine LeaguesTM
RB Najee Harris (Chargers - ADP: 104.1, -5.5): Harris still seems to have trouble with his eye, which he injured on the Fourth of July in a fireworks-related incident. But when he returns to action I expect that his hard-nosed running style will appeal to OC Greg Roman. Second-round rookie Omarion Hampton is a force, but Harris hasn't had fewer than 1,200 scrimmage yards in any season of his career. Action: Hold
WR Chris Godwin (Buccaneers - ADP: 78.2, -4.8): Godwin (ankle) suffered a season-ending dislocation last year, and then he needed a second surgery this spring. He's on the active/PUP list, and I strongly doubt he'll be ready for Week 1. On top of that, he'll need to compete with promising rookie first-rounder Emeka Egbuka. Action: Sell
FFPC
RB Zack Moss (Bengals - ADP: 331.3, -54.2): A year ago, Moss was coming off a career-best campaign (986 yards, 7 TDs), and he was poised to be the Bengals No. 1 RB. One neck injury and a Chase Brown breakout later, Moss has been released. He seems closer to retiring than playing this season. Action: Sell
