Week 11 RB Rankings: De'Von Achane Keeps Rolling up Yards and Fantasy Points

Week 11 RB Rankings: De'Von Achane Keeps Rolling up Yards and Fantasy Points

Matthew Freedman has compiled his favorite plays among his Week 11 fantasy football running back rankings, including De'Von Achane and TreVeyon Henderson.

It's Week 11.

Only a month remains in the fantasy regular season.

The end draws nigh.

Even so, almost anything is possible.

Four straight wins could shoot your currently losing team into the postseason. Four straight losses could sabotage your seeming championship contender.

Complacency is not an option.

In the words of Lady Macbeth, "Screw your courage to the sticking place."

Sure, she was a conspirator to regicide and a wreck of a wife—but she probably would've been a ruthlessly winning fantasy football player.

Get those hands bloody.

Let's get into the Week 11 RB edition of Freedman's Favorites, where I highlight guys I'm upgrading because of …

  • Favorable betting factors and situational spots
  • Advantageous defensive matchups (perhaps aided by injury)
  • Increased usage expectations (again, maybe aided by injury)

De'Von Achane's League-Winning Ways Will Persist in Week 11

Here's a non-random fact: Out of all players with 5+ games, De'Von Achane is the only RB this year with double-digit fantasy points every week.

Not Jonathan Taylor. Not Christian McCaffrey. Not Bijan Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs, Josh Jacobs, James Cook, Saquon Barkley and Kyren Williams.

But Achane. Especially in Guillotine Leagues, his elevated weekly floor has been a blessing from the fantasy gods.

Despite all the struggles the Dolphins offense has had this year, Achane has continued to ball out with 1,105 yards and 9 TDs on 143 carries, 66 targets and an elite 93 Utilization Score (per our Fantasy Life Utilization Report).

And last week he went absolutely ballistic with 225 yards and 2 TDs in a 30-13 victory against the Bills.

This week, he travels to Spain for a matchup against the Commanders, who just allowed the comparable Gibbs to rack up 172 yards and 3 TDs on 15 carries and 4 targets. (No. 2 RB David Montgomery also had 71 yards on 15 carries and a target in the same game.)

Additionally, the Commanders will likely be without DT Daron Payne (suspension).

While the consensus game total is 47.5, I have the over as a five-star bet in our Fantasy Life Game Model

TreVeyon Henderson Has RB1 Upside in Week 11

No. 1 RB Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) has been out the past two weeks, along with No. 3 RB Antonio Gibson (knee, IR). And No. 4 RB Terrell Jennings (knee) exited Week 10 early.

The result: 237 yards and 2 TDs on 28 carries, 7 targets and an 83 Utilization Score over the past two weeks. And he almost had a third TD last week but was stuffed at the 1-yard line THREE times. Ugh.

Based on the early practice reports, Henderson (knee)—like everyone else in the Pats backfield—is dealing with an injury. But he has also been listed with a limited practice, so I expect him to suit up and handle a full workload as long as Stevenson is out once again.

And even if Stevenson returns … Henderson still has a shot to play ahead of him.

The Pats have the week's No. 1 implied team total (27.5) and are massive 11.5-point home favorites on Thursday Night Football against the Jets, who could especially struggle now without DT Quinnen Williams (traded).

And it also doesn't help the Jets that first-year defensive HC Aaron Glenn has only four days between games to prepare.

Henderson and the Pats could run all over the Jets on TNF.

Emari Demercado Won't Drop the Ball in Week 11

Let's look at the backfield for the Cardinals.

No. 1 RB James Conner (ankle, IR) has been out since Week 3.

No. 2 RB Trey Benson (knee, IR) has been out since Week 4. Although there's some organizational optimism that Benson will return soon, that the Cardinals have yet to open his 21-day practice window makes me skeptical he'll return to action this week against the 49ers.

No. 3 RB Bam Knight (ankle) is uncertain for this upcoming game after suffering an injury on Sunday.

And depth RB Michael Carter has bounced back and forth between the active roster and practice squad over the past couple weeks.

That leaves Emari Demercado as the lone healthy and locked-in RB on the team.

Demercado has played four games since Benson was sidelined.

In one of those games, he played just three snaps as punishment for his infamous unforced goal-line fumble. In the other three games, he put up a combined 263 yards from scrimmage.

The Cardinals have had the league's No. 5 home-field advantage over the past 16 games (+6.83, per NFElo), and the 49ers are No. 5 in largest fantasy boost allowed to RBs (+2.9).

The Checkdown

Josh Jacobs (Packers) at Giants: In five games since the Week 5 bye, Jacobs has 460 yards and 5 TDs on 82 carries, 20 targets and an 87 Utilization Score. The Giants are No. 32 in defensive rush EPA (0.142, per RBs Don't Matter) and defensive rush DVOA (15.3%, per FTN) and might be without DT Rakeem Nunez-Roches (toe).

Ashton Jeanty (Raiders) vs. Cowboys: Jeanty has had a snap rate of at least 88% in both games since the Week 8 bye, and he's converted that playing time into 152 yards and 2 TDs on 32 carries and 10 targets. The Raiders are playing their second straight game at home, and the Cowboys are No. 31 in defensive rush SR (48.7%).

Rachaad White (Buccaneers) at Bills: No. 1 RB Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder) still has not returned to practice, and White has 316 yards and 3 TDs on 64 carries and 20 targets in five games this year without him. No. 3 RB Sean Tucker warrants waiver wire consideration, but White is still the leader in the backfield with Irving out, and the Bills are No. 30 in defensive rush DVOA (8.4%).

Aaron Jones (Vikings) vs. Bears: Jones has taken over the Vikings backfield over the past two weeks with 167 yards and a TD. The Vikings are three-point home favorites, and the Bears are dealing with injuries to EDGEs Dayo Odeyingbo (Achilles, IR) and Dominique Robinson (ankle), DT Shemar Turner (knee, IR), and LB T.J. Edwards (hand, hamstring).

Woody Marks (Texans) at Titans: Marks has 254 yards and 2 TDs on 45 carries and 15 targets in four games since the Week 6 bye. The Titans are No. 2 in most fantasy points allowed to RBs (25.2), and they might still be without DT Jeffery Simmons (hamstring) and EDGE Arden Key (thigh), both of whom had missed multiple games before the Week 10 bye.
